My first try at making an art doll; called, Raven

I used a combination of pattern parts from Jan Horrox new book to create her . Jans book is excellent! her patterns in the back of the book are easy to use and the book is full of helpful advice and has lots of colour photos. its a must have for any one new to cloth/art doll making.

My first try at making a Tilda doll wasn't a great success.

However this doll didn't turn out to bad and you know what they say, "Practise makes perfect", so I will be making many more.
I have just brought a book from Amazon called. Creative cloth doll collection by Patti medaris culea. Its fantastic! one afternoon and a couple of cups of tea later and I have learnt so much. It is informative, interesting and inspirational. The instructions are clear  with step-by-step pics. I don't see how you could go wrong with this book to help you.

jewellery. dont you just love it.

I just thought that I would add some pics of the jewellery that I have made; most of it has now been sold (sadly). I love making jewellery and of course wearing it; but space it at a premium in our house ,so I had to let it go. Any way hope you like it.

I just love to get creative and have a house full of crafty bits, so I got to thinking.Whats the point in making all these things if I'm not going to do anything with them;if they are just going to lay there collecting dust a cupboard. It seams kind of pointless and wasteful. other than the enjoyment that I gain from making and creating them that is; and so is born my blog spot.
                      Each week I shall post pics of my new crafty creations for you to view.
Some you may like, some you may not; but what matters to me is that I have done something with them.
             Whats my style?   Well all kinds of everything. I don't feel the urge to limit my imagination, and there is never a plan I just start and see what happens. any way hope you enjoy your visit:)
